Mercy volunteers are valued members of our caregiving team. Each volunteer adds a personal touch to the health care provided at Mercy, making an important difference to the patients and families we serve.
We work with our volunteers to match their skills, interests and schedules to one of our volunteer opportunities. We are flexible about time commitments–even one hour a month is a big help.
Volunteer opportunities include:
Greet our patients and visitors upon arrival and help them get to their destination.
Help staff and stock our lovely Gift Shop.

Mercy Hospital/Cassia Care Volunteer Service Organization (VSO)
The Mercy Volunteer Service Organization (VSO) supports the efforts and missions of both Mercy Hospital and Cassia Care. Funds raised through activities like the Lights of Love and the Gift Shop are used to help purchase minor medical equipment and provide annual scholarships for local high school students. VSO members also volunteer their time helping patients and residents.
VSO meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 3:30 p.m. at Mercy Hospital. Membership is open to people wanting to give time and support. Call 218.485.5891 for more information.
